Your first job

In this chapter you will find a few examples of how to setup and run a job on ALICE. These walkthroughs are simple but cover different types of jobs. They are written so that you should be able to repeat each step yourself and we encourage you try them out on ALICE. They will give you a starting point from which you can develop your own job files or you can have a look at more advanced examples.

If you are completely new to ALICE, HPC and using slurm, it is recommended that you start with the first example.

  1. Your first Slurm job
  2. Your first Python job
  3. Your first C job
  4. Your first parallel (multi-core) job
  5. Your first parallel (multi-node, multi-core) job
  6. Your first GPU job
